So I just remember driving my Subaru through a narrow hallway; it was barely wider than the car. I didn’t have much context of where it was in general, like what facility or building this hallway was in; it just seemed like I was following a road and suddenly it became inside this place. I seemed to be focused on trying to find a place to park. As I was rolling forward I remember looking at my shirt sleeves and saw the blue and gold stripes like a rugby-style shirt that I had at UCLA. So that gave a clue, but for a moment I wondered if maybe the gold would ‘clash’ with the tan corduroy on my pants, but I guess it seemed ok. Suddenly the hallway opened up into an outdoor area, then I quickly approached a ramp that went down, like I’ve seen before in stadiums where the locker-room area was down below the court. There were some closed doors at the bottom of the ramp, so I thought it would both be too narrow for the car, and it was a place where only the players/coaches/staff would be allowed to go, so I immediately stopped and tried to turn around.
Before I tried to reverse out of there, I checked how much distance was between the front of the car and the closed doors — it seemed a bit close, so because the car was manual transmission, I didn’t want to let the clutch slip and end up slamming the doors. So I rolled the windows down on both sides, put my hands out to brace against the hallway, similar to the e-brake ‘trick’ to keep the car from rolling when dealing with a manual transmission on hills. So that worked, I reversed out of there, back to the outdoor area, then back through the hallway where I had started. I went slowly and was doing a good job to control the car in reverse, not scraping anything or causing damage. I reversed until I came up to a little stub-wall which extended from the now-left side. I figured I couldn’t go further without causing damage, so I hopped out of the car, and suddenly Norton S. was there.
He seemed to be in a good mood. I asked him about getting out of there, like if I can’t back up or turn around, how do I get through– what is the designated route? He just said something about going through and to the right. So then I just went out on foot, back toward the locker room ramp, and noticed the outdoor area had changed. Whereas before it was kind of dark and out of focus, now it was brightly lit and there were swimming pools all around the ramp entrance, in a horse-shoe shape. So I went through, stayed to the right, then noticed I was carrying a big white piece of poster board. Then I seemed to pass by a 40-something, average-looking, bleach-blond lady — I just remember her haircut being a bit so-so, kind of a sharp angle at the bangs, the length was around the upper neck, and it seemed to have a wiry texture, with the roots well-exposed. She was wearing black and had makeup on that made me think she was going out for dinner to a nice place, maybe for a date? So I just passed by her, then got into some adjacent area which was more open.
I guess I was feeling a bit giddy, because suddenly I just felt like flying. So I went up about 50-100 ft, cruised around the area in a circular pattern. While I was doing this I seemed to pay attention to whether anyone on the ground was noticing. (Sometimes my flying in dreams is ignored by others and other times it draws attention.) It seemed like I heard some cheers coming from onlookers. Then I thought, Do I always fly in circles the same way, like counter-clockwise, as in this case? Then I noticed my pants were down and I seemed to be wearing some brightly colored shorts, which were multicolored, somewhat like a pair of boxers I had back in the day which had some comic-book style print, but these weren’t underwear. It was like just fun-shorts under my pants I guess. Even though I was ‘exposing’ myself which I’d normally assume would cause a feeling of vulnerability or embarrassment, in this case I didn’t feel sensitive to that; it was just another curious thing to observe.
