Dream: Hanging with O’Leary at the Warehouse Club

I was inside of a large building that felt like a finished warehouse.  It was dimly lit, somewhat industrial, but also had a ‘club’ kind of feel in the large, finished upper-level interior space.  The club area was nice, but it wasn’t like that in the hallways and stairwells, etc, which were just metal and concrete.  At first I was up high on a tall rolling ladder in a library-like area.  Suddenly the ladder was taken out from under me, which led to somewhat of an exaggerated drop — it was all well-composed, but was just noticeable that the height was quite a bit more than something like a desk.  I ‘stuck’ the landing, then went outside of the library and club area into an adjacent space where I happened upon my mom and Kevin O’Leary, a.k.a. Mr. Wonderful, who were engaged in a conversation.

I can’t remember the exact sequence of the conversation but I told O’Leary that I was going to triple my account.  He said something like “That’s great!” or “That’s wonderful!,” which seemed to address my gusto more than anything, because I figured that if he were interested in how I intended to do it, he probably would have asked.  It was still a genuine response– obviously making great returns is great, but being excited about it seemed to make it more meaningful to him.  In the back of my mind I was thinking that my strategy would be to take a leveraged long position on gold, probably by buying call options.  Then I thought about how probably later I would then take a short position in silver, most likely by buying puts, since the moves in silver were often so dramatic on the downside.  Mr. Wonderful’s attention returned to the conversation with my mom, and I just noticed how horizontal he was when sitting on the couch.

Then the three of us got up and went over to the library or club area where I’d been before.  We didn’t take a direct route, instead we seemed to go around the back and enter from the side.  Once inside I noticed all the people and there was heightened activity– lots of movement.  Then I just made my way through, mostly taking note of how everything seemed to be wrapped in dark green felt.  I popped out the other side and made a comment to O’Leary that it was just like a giant billiard table.
