Dream: How to Ride the Wedge

The first thing I recall is being in a baseball stadium, in the stands, in an upper level.  I was there with a bunch of other people.  Suddenly the focus was to go down a level from this upper level, but not in the normal way of using stairs through and behind the stands.  Rather, someone had quickly installed a ramp that was made out of wood, and it had a triangular prism shape.  The vertical section butted up against the front railing of the upper deck area, then it sloped down to the lower area.  There was about a two-foot wide horizontal strip that served as a veritable slide for people to go down.  I’m not sure if anyone actually did go down; it just seemed like it would be easy enough and probably fun.  Suddenly, however, it got replaced by another similar type of contraption.  The new one also had a general ‘wedge’ shape, but instead of the flat ‘slide’ surface on its top, it had a sharp ‘spine’.  At first glance, as a solution for going down it seemed like a non-starter, like it couldn’t be feasible as a safe way to go since there was no way to balance on the spine; accidentally slipping off the top on one side or the other would mean falling the whole way down at free-fall speed, which would probably cause injury, etc.  The whole idea here seemed to be a playful day, so I thought there had to be some other way to use this thing which was much less risky.  Sure enough, a guy suddenly started making his way down the left side (when viewed from above), by using small gaps in between the wood panels as foot and hand holds, much like if he were rock-climbing.  It wasn’t like the ‘holds’ were obvious, as they would be at a climbing gym, but there were enough of them, and they were large enough, and apparently strong enough to support his weight, so it worked.
