The first thing I recall is being invited to participate in some kind of fitness program that was going to be video recorded. There was a ‘star’ guy who was the main guru-type, then I along with others would make up the extras or background people. I was ushered through a locker room type of area by a woman who was doing the ‘coordination’ role. It was a sense of going through a common area, like a gym facility at a college, then through a backdoor which led to the special designated area that had been ‘roped off’ for this filming production. As I arrived I was given the instructions not to touch the star– the coordinator pointed him out and said something like “That’s so-in-so; don’t touch him.” My sense of that was like, Okay, whatever— I didn’t regard him as famous but I’d still respect the instructions.
Then I was asked to put on some particular black athletic shorts, which I guessed was for all of the extras to look uniform and not distract from the star. I had to go change, so I went back through the locker room, but it was too crowded so I kept going and then suddenly was outside the building on the street. I realized I was now a bit further away than I wanted, and that would make the whole trip take too long, so I decided to just do a quick-change on the grass to the right of the walking path, next to the building. I remembered I was wearing some kind of stretchy boxer-brief type of underwear, so I didn’t worry about ‘exposing’ myself or doing anything obscene in the eyes of a passer-by. So I stripped down the original shorts which were blue, then tried to put on the black ones, but there was an issue that hung up the process. These shorts had a thin liner layer sewn into them but it had gotten reversed and was suddenly on the outside, so I had to manage fumbling with it to get it back inside, and at the same time get my shoes through the leg holes without catching any snags, all while standing on one foot.
After getting this sorted out, I saw myself more from the third-person perspective and realized these shorts were more like a puffy, bulky track-suit. It looked kind of awkward like it would be a bit cumbersome to do plyometrics or anything requiring agility.
